I ordered an unsweetened ice tea. We received a sweet tea. No big deal, it wasn't bad. We ordered an appetizer. That came out right. Then our orders.
I ordered the Blue Cheese burger (no onion) and my wife asked for the Wedge burger (lettuce wrap).
Food and service were good. Nor a Dan of the impersonal electronic pay box on the table. It's not intuitive. Had to wait for server to notice the blinking light on the box to complete the transaction.
This is the go to place for feeding my kids. Tasty food at a fair price. They don't always get the order right and it's not always the friendliest service, but when it is, it's excellent.
The food is good. The wait staff was good. The management of this place is pretty bad. We wanted to sit outside. We were told it was full. There was only 1 family out there. They say us @10 minutes later. The manager told us no one else would be allowed to sit outside because the lights didn't work. After 5 minutes the lights came on. The meal came quickly and was done as ordered. Our waitress was very good and fast. The hostess(es) and management are not organized though.
We wrapped up and I was trying to figure out the touch screen thing that shut off because we simply could not find her on the floor, and then she popped up and asked if we wanted desert. I said sure, we looked at the menu and she popped smoke again. Just not there. So, we paid on the touch screen and pressed call Server for a receipt. We left 15%, I regret that now. But after 10 minutes of a flashing red light on the screen she dropped something on the table across from us and ignored my wife asking "Excuse Me" and walked off. So we left and went to Sonic. Next time I will skip Red Robin and just go there.
It started well, good parking, fast seating, smiling waitress.
So, for my birthday I wanted something different. Having been on a diet for a while I really wanted a burger and shake. I have always like Red Robin and frequented the Dulles Town Center and Fayetteville, NC locations. Never once did we have a bad visit. Tonight changed that.
So, at first I thought all was well, then got a big mouthful of chopped onion. I can deal, maybe it is part of the sauce.
Then our server vanished. We had no complained or been rude. I have no idea.
Loved this Red Robin! Yummm! And the staff was pleasant and prompt. They didn't have many of these when I lived in NYC so it was great to find one so close to where I live now!
